Grade 7 students from Man-ai, one of barangay Tignapoloan’s farthest sitios, will no longer have to walk for about 30 kilometers from home going to school located in the barangay proper.
This, as City Mayor Oscar Moreno turned over today, August 15, the three-classroom building of Man-ai National High School to the officials of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the barangay council headed by Tignapoloan barangay chairman Jay R. Pascual.
This project is solely funded by the city government of Cagayan de Oro through the Special Education Fund which is derived from the taxpayer's real property tax.
Education is one of Mayor Moreno’s 8-point development agenda. Mayor Moreno is grateful for the full support of the members of the Local School Board. The Local School Board manages the Special Education Fund.
