After seven years, the City Government of Cagayan de Oro finally crafted its Citizen’s Charter in compliance to Republic Act No. 9485 or Anti-Red Tape Act, a law which is aimed at curbing graft and corruption in government.
City Mayor Oscar Moreno recently handed over copies of the Citizen’s Charter handbook to DILG regional director Rene Burdeos, Civil Service Commission regional director Adams Torres and City DILG director Jane Docallos during simple ceremonies at City Hall.
City Hall officials and employees took service pledge and signed a commitment as a show of support to the implementation of the charter that features ‘simplified procedures’ in the delivery of frontline services offered by various departments and offices of the local government.
Public Assistance and Feedback Desks are now strategically placed within City Hall premises, particularly at the lobbies of the Chief Executive House, JV Serina Building and New Legislative and Administrative Building, in order to assist the transacting public.
