Written by ALR
ESTABLISHING a fully operational Balay Silangan rehab facility and expansion of the barangay drug clearing program were discussed during the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) first regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 24, in one of the city’s hotels.

Presided by City Councilor and concurrent CADAC co-chairman Roger Abaday, the meeting pushed for establishing the Balay Silangan which is one of the requirements for the Barangay Drug Clearing Program, especially in barangays with identified small-time drug pushers.

Other agenda items include the number of potential barangays to be drug-cleared, non-compliant barangays, mandatory drug tests and others. (ALR/Photos by Reynan Baylin & Roel Felicitas/CIO)
