The City Gender and Development Office concluded the National Arts Month 2026 with TAPOK TA! Cdeo Sonata and Alampat (SonAmpat) Open Mic & Arts Exhibit, held February 28, at the Carmen Art District, this city.
The event featured performances from SONAMPAT Bootcamp graduates Jobert Bryan and Izza Escueta, alongside established acts like Buhata (with Michelle Lua), Errol Balcos, Miguel Quijada, EliRockJ Band, and GlamMusicc.
Also showcased was an Art Exhibition & Market which consisted of local booths and sold a variety of works, including: Sea Glass Art by Pip Sarballon, Resin & Fine Art by Michael Bacol, Live Sketches by Oscar Floirendo and Hand-poke tattoos by students, photo booths, and digital crafts.
The event was made possible through the support of Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy, Oro Integrated Cooperative, Carmen Art District, Blue Ridge Music, Big Boss Lights & Sound, Point of View and OroKru in an effort to highlight the strong collaboration between the local government and the creative community of Cagayan de Oro.
