PARTICIPANTS from medium and major cooperatives across Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, and neighboring provinces gathered for the Orientation on Memorandum Circular 2025-08 or the Financial Consumer Protection Assistance Management System (FCPAMS) and other related issuances on Wednesday (April 8 ).
In addition to FCPAMS, the orientation also covered a comprehensive guidance on RA 117654 otherwise known as the Final Products and Services Consumer Protection Act, together with Memorandum Circular 2025-07 or the Guidelines for Empowering Micro and Small Cooperatives Through Strategic Partnership with Medium and Large Cooperatives and Cooperative Banks for Increased Participation in the Credit Surety Fund (CSF) Program.
The discussions emphasized the dual objectives of strengthening consumer protection and enhancing cooperative participation in credit programs.
Resource speaker, Joselito O. Hallazgo, the Credit Surety Fund Service Director, pointed out that the combined guidance from RA 117654, Memorandum Circular 2025 07, Memorandum Circular 2025-08, and other related issuances, provide a framework for cooperatives to uphold accountability while pursuing growth, securing its members’ welfare and opening doors to new partnerships.
