Written by LRM
CAGAYAN de Oro City Hall through their Community Improvement Division (CID) joined key cooperative leaders and groups across the country for the Federation of People's Sustainable Development Cooperative (FPSDC) 30th Annual Regular General Assembly Meeting on Tuesday (April 28).

CID Asst. Department Manager Honorio G. Diputado Jr., who represented Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy in the assembly, spoke on the crucial role of cooperatives as engines of shared growth, solidarity, and sustainable community development.

The FPSDC became operational in 1996 and was duly registered in 1998. The federation is anchored on the principles of sustainable development and social empowerment.

Over the decades, the FPSDC forged strong partnerships with fellow cooperatives, building programs and services that uplift marginalized communities, strengthen grassroots enterprises, and promote inclusive growth.

Today, FPSDC assists over 125 cooperatives nationwide, pursuing its mission of providing not only financial intermediation but also non-financial services such as mainstream product marketing.

The annual meeting covered consolidated reports from the governing board, committees, and management, the presentation of plans and budget for year 2026, the oath-taking of new members, and the election of a new set of board and committee members, setting the direction for the cooperative’s future.
