ABOUT 31 minors who were involved in solvent abuse were rescued on Wednesday, Apr. 29 during a citywide ‘Safer City’ campaign conducted by the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) in cooperation with Cagayan de Oro City Hall’s Regulatory Compliance Board (RCB) and the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWD).
The campaign was led by COCPO’s Police Lt. Col. Ernesto Niebito M. Daing and was joined by COCPO’s 10 police precinct chiefs. About 10 of the 31 minors were claimed by their families while the rest were turned over to the city's temporary shelter in Barangay Lumbia for intervention.
