THE winners of the Bongga ka Nay! pageant held as part of the National Women’s Month Culmination were announced last Thursday, April 30, at the Amphitheater, Cagayan de Oro City.

 

Among this year’s winners were:

 

* Champion: Winnebeth J. Montero (Tablon)

* 1st Runner-Up: Fritzie Jane Naelga (F.S. Catanico)

* 2nd Runner-Up: Angel Love W. Sinconiegue (Barangay 10)

* 3rd Runner-Up: Chathy Mae B. Wagas (Indahag)

* 4th Runner-Up: Mary Rose D. Balbadores (Carmen)

 

The Bongga ka Nay! pageant is an initiative of the City Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System headed personally by Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, Co-Chairperson Sheila Lumbatan and City GAD Focal Person Sol P. Mosqueda.

 

It is an annual event that honors mothers who go beyond their roles at home to make significant contributions to their respective communities.
