THREE gambling machines locally known as tolilong that were entrusted to random residents in Sitio Calaanan, Barangay Canitoan in Cagayan de Oro City were confiscated by City Hall’s Regulatory Compliance Board (RCB) team and Canitoan barangay tanods in that area last Friday evening, May 1.
The machines were turned over to the Bulua police precinct (Police Station/Precinct 7) for custody while awaiting proper disposition.
City Ordinance no. 2008-160 prohibits the use, possession and manufacture of such machines.
Meanwhile six persons were issued an Ordinance Violation Receipt (OVR) in Sitio Taguanao, Barangay Indahag, and in Mastersons Avenue, Upper Carmen for violating city ordinance no. 5133-95, otherwise known as the prohibition on drinking liquor in public places.(Photos and text by REYNAN BAYLIN/CIO)
