APPROVAL of Cagayan de Oro City’s Peace, Order and Public Safety Plan as well as the annual barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) budgets were made by the 21st City Council in its first regular Monday afternoon (May 4) session for the month of May.

 

During the session presided by Vice Mayor Jocelyn ‘Bebot’ Rodriguez, the council also approved the following resolutions and ordinances:

 

These are the approved resolutions and ordinances during the session:

1. Proposed Resolution No. 2026-320-Declares operative the 2026 annual budget of Barangay Tablon amounting to P51,702,844.00.

2. Proposed Resolution Nos. 2026-321-2026-322-Declares operative the 2026 annual budgets of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay No. 08 and Barangay San Simon.

3. Proposed Resolution No. 2026-323-Approves and adopts the 2026–2028 Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan of Cagayan de Oro City.

4. Proposed Resolution No. 2026-324-Urges all barangays to include PTA presidents as ex-officio members of their Committee on Education.

5. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-237-Appropriates P203,125.02 for the terminal leave pay of two former employees of the City Council Secretary’s Office.

6. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-238-Standardizes position titles in various city offices by removing parenthetical titles in accordance with DBM guidelines.

7. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-239-Appropriates P19,000.00 for the unpaid December 2025 RATA of a city department head.

8. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-240-Approves the development permit for the NHA housing project in Barangay Nazareth with 35 residential lots.

9. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-241-Amends a provision of the Ease of Doing Business Ordinance of Cagayan de Oro City.

10. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-242-Authorizes the City Mayor to sign an MOU with Oro Integrated Cooperative for Gender and Development (GAD) programs in public markets.
