CITY HALL JOINS 3-DAY COA MANDATED TRAINING ON CASH MANAGEMENT

CAGAYAN de Oro City Hall officials, bonded and disbursing officers joined the Capacity-Building Training on Cash Management and Control System (CMCS) and COA Compliance for Bonded Officers on Monday, June 1.
 
Facilitated by the Office of the City Accountant and in partnership with the Commission on Audit regional office (COA-10), the three-day workshop features four in-depth sessions tackling Accountability, Responsibility, and Liability; Receipts and Collections; Disbursement of Funds; and Rules on Cash Advances.
 
In his opening remarks, Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy personally thanked the officers for their active participation and said he hoped that the training would broaden everyone’s knowledge and skills for more effective public service.
 
The training aims to strengthen financial accountability, sharpen bonded officers’s competence in fund management, and ensure strict adherence to the auditing rules as per COA standards working towards safeguarding transparency and accountability in government financial operations.
