TWO agri‑farming groups of Barangay Tagpangi received livelihood assistance under the national government’s Integrated Livelihood Program last Friday, June 19.

 

The assistance was facilitated by the City Agricultural Productivity Operations Office (APOO) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-10) regional office as part of APOO’s continuing efforts to strengthen grassroots food production.

 

As implemented by DOLE, the program provides livestock/animals, tools, seeds, and other materials to assist associations and cooperatives in strengthening their projects, improve productivity, and increase income.

 

Aside from APOO and DOLE-10, representatives of the City Public Employment Services Office (PESO) were on hand for the turnover of livestock, seeds and farm implements to Sustainagrow Small Farmers Association and the Tagpangi Trisa‑WAB Multi‑Purpose Cooperative. (Text by LRM/CIO with APOO photos)
