GILUSAD sa kagamhanang lokal ang Oro Kasanag Awards, atol sa pagpakayab sa nasudnong bandila sa City Hall Quadrangle, adlaw’ng Lunes, Hulyo 27.

 

Mismo ang City Council for the Protection of Children (CCPC) ang nangulo sa launching diin si CCPCC Vice Chairperson Jonah Domingo ang mipresentar niini uban ni City Administraror Atty. Rog Hilario Raagas ug City Councilor Atty. Edgar Cabanlas.

 

Sumala pa ni Domingo ang pagprotehir sa mga gagmay’ng kabataan usa ka ‘shared responsibility’, ug dili lamang trabaho sa usa ka buhatan.

 

“I would like to reiterate with everyone. CHILD PROTECTION and the WELFARE OF OUR CHILDREN is not the work of one office alone. It requires the commitment of every government agency, every barangay, every police station, every partner organization, every family and every citizen. When we work together, we create a community where every child is protected, valued, heard, and empowered to reach their fullest potential, “ saysay ni Domingo.

 

Ubos sa Oro Kasanag Awards ang social audit initiatives nga Child-Friendly Barangay ug Child-Friendly Police Station diin ang mga barangay mopailawum sa Coaching and Mentoring, Assessment sa Child-Friendly Barangays.

 

Panghingusgan usab ang ilang kapasidad aron mas molambo ang mga programa, serbisyo, ug pag-alagad niini.

 

Samtang sa police stations, ipahigayun ang Capacity Development Training alang sa Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) Officers and Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) focals alang sa mas epektibong pag-protehir sa kababayen-an ug gagmay’ng kabataan.

 

Ang Oro Kasanag Awards dili lamang usa ka recognition program. Kini naniguha nga mahimong simbolo sa commitment sa siyudad sa accountability, excellence, ug malahutayong kalamboang sa pagsiguro nga ang matag batang Kagay-anon modako sa luwas, maamomahon, ug child-friendly environment.
