THE City Council will craft an ordinance in response to the recent threats allegedly made by a student in the city, with the aim of strengthening the safety and security of students.

 

To ensure that the proposed ordinance effectively addresses the issue, the Council agreed to focus on crafting legislation that will provide appropriate measures and interventions.

 

A committee hearing will be conducted by the Committee on Public Order and Safety and the Committee on Education, with representatives of the Department of Education-Division of Cagayan de Oro (DEPED-CDO), the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) and other concerned agencies invited to participate.
