A more efficient dragon boat race was concluded with a lively awarding ceremony and fellowship night for more than 600 paddlers who competed in the Mayor's Cup Spring Festival Dragon Boat Race Sunday night, January 22, 2023.

According to John Asuncion, the Chinese New Year Festival Committee chairman and the founder of the Dragon Boat Kagay-an, participants from outside Cagayan de Oro were pleased with the improvement of last week's dragon boat race as minor issues were observed during the race done during last year's fiesta.
