CDO police on implementing executive orders, social distancing, curfew

Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) continues to implement executive orders from the national headquarters according to COCPO Spokesperson Police Major Ivan Viñas in a press conference held at the Mayor’s Office, Wednesday, April 1. 

Viñas said that 120 Philippine National Police (PNP) Personnel were added from the regional special training unit and will be the ones to assess force multipliers in barangay roads with check points and essential goods to be transported. Meanwhile, all barangay check points in the national highway are to be removed as a directive of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Viñas, who is from the Law and Order Cluster, further said that social distancing continues to be enforced by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA), and Highway Patrol Group. He also added that they have visited essential establishments for additional information, and continue to give leaflets to people in different barangays.

COCPO also continues to impose the city-wide curfew.
