Global Electric Transportation (GET), represented by their president and former Taguig City Mayor Freddie Tinga and partner, A. Brown Company Inc. President Robertino E. Pizarro, launched its Comet E-Bus on March 21 at the Xavier Estates Sports and Country Club, this city.

 

City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy, represented by City Administrator Atty. Roy Hilario Raagas, expressed his gratitude to the company for introducing PWD-friendly electronic vehicles in Cagayan de Oro City, saying that this will surely provide convenience and easy access to public transport of PWD passengers.

 

The electronic bus features world-class capability, and boasts to be the only PWD accessible bus in the country equipped with a roll down ramp for wheelchair compatibility.

But what sets this unit apart from the rest of the existing public transport vehicles is the eco-friendly advantage wherein it relies on renewable energy and advocates sustainable energy.

 

"Environmental protection was always a passion of my husband (Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri). We have known Robert (Pizarro) for a while, and we are confident they will be the right group to partner with GET," said Audrey Tan-Zubiri, the senate president’s first lady, who represented her husband during the launching.
