CITY HALL, USAID SPEARHEAD DIGITAL TOOLS WORKSHOP FOR MSMEs, STUDENTS

A WORKSHOP aimed at promoting and enhancing the use of digital technology for business owners and business administration students opened at the City Tourism Hall on Tuesday, July 23.
 
Micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) owners and business administration students from Cagayan de Oro City joined the workshop dubbed as GCash Masterclass on Digital Democracy.
 
This is an initiative of GCash together with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Start Up Village and Cagayan de Oro City Hall.
 
Among the City Hall departments actively involved in the workshop are the the Oro-Trade and Investment Promotions Center (Oro-TIPC), City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) and City Information Office (CIO) and City Management Information Systems and Innovations Department (CMISID).
 
Also joining the program were the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental and Department of Information and Communications Technology X).
 
Present at the event were City Administrator Roy Hilario Raagas representing Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, Oro TIPC Head John Asuncion, DTI Misamis Oriental OIC Provincial Director Jesse Abear, USAID Strengthening Private Enterprise for the Digital Economy (SPEED) Project Representative Bea Parungo among others.
