Task Force Basura, led by City Administrator Atty. Roy Hilario Raagas, haul garbage along main roads in barangays Patag and Bayabas, Kinasanghan in Iponan, and West City Central School in Carmen as it started on Thursday, Jan. 23 the week-long city-wide garbage collection drive in response to Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy’s call to hasten up the disposal of voluminous waste that accumulated after the holidays.

 

Garbage-hauling trucks, resources and personnel from the different barangays in Cagayan de Oro, City Engineering Office, City Public Services Department, City Local Environment and Natural Resources (CLENRO), Project Lunhaw, and Tencil – the city’s third party garbage collector, including private trucks owned by Mayor Klarex Uy’s family, have joined forces to expedite the garbage collection initiative.
