The City College of Cagayan de Oro named one of its employees, Juanito V. Malalis, as their ‘Employee of the Week’ during Monday’s (March 3) flagraising ceremony and program which they hosted at the City Hall quadrangle.
Malalis has been an employee of the college since 2021 when it was still known as Cagayan de Oro Technical Vocational Institute.
Despite residing in District 1, Malalis never fails to wake up early just to fetch his co-employees and drive them to work in Agusan (District 2) where the school is based.
Malalis received a medal of recognition from the Office of the Human Resource Management Officer headed by Xsyclyn Faith 'Kansai' Lumbatan in partnership with the City College of Cagayan de Oro and cash worth P3,000.
The ‘Employee of the Week’ initiative is part of the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
The program is aimed at incentivizing and rewarding employees who demonstrate exemplary performance in their respective roles. (NLB/CIO/photos by Reynan Baylin/CIO).
