Amid the holiday, the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Department turned over aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to 147 families from Barangay 24 affected by a recent fire incident, as well as to 15 families from Barangay Bugo affected by a separate fire incident.
The aid includes hygiene kits, family kits, food packs, sleeping kits, and other essential items.
The DSWD assistance was coursed through District 2 Congressman Rufus Rodriguez.
Prior to the DSWD assistance, CSWD had also provided aid to the fire victims, which included hygiene kits, kitchen utensils, sleeping kits, and food through a community kitchen. Mayor Klarex Uy likewise distributed additional items, including 5 kilos of rice and a solar-powered light bulb.
