Basketball action kicked off strong at the City Hall Quadrangle on Thursday (Aug. 7) as several departments dominated their opponents in the second day of the third Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy Inter-Department Sports Festival.

 

While the City Accounting Office (CAO) doused the competitive fires of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) en route to a dominant 77-33 win, the City Economic Enterprises and Business Development Administration (CEEBDA) outplayed the joint squad of the Commission on Audit, Finance, Budget, and Kitchen units for a 79-53 finish.

 

As the city-owned JR Borja General Hospital squad carved out a surgical 68-37 landslide win over the City College of Cagayan de Oro, the combined contingent of the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO), City Housing and Urban Development Department (CHUDD), and City Information Office (CIO) edged out the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWD) with a 53-48 victory in the open category.
