THE Oro-Trade and Promotions Center (Oro-TIPC) officially launched their project dubbed ‘Bulawanong Bahandi (Golden Treasure), a celebration highlighting the works of the city’s creative industry, at the City Museum on Thursday (Sept. 18 ).

 

Led by Oro-TIPC chief John Asuncion and Oro-TIPC Assistant Department Manager Raelita Legaspi, the event kicked off with an exhibit of creatives in the performing arts, visual arts, creative services, traditional crafts, cultural spaces, designs, print and media, audiovisual, and digital art.

 

A fair is scheduled on Friday to Saturday (September 19-20) at 10 am-9 pm at the Art and Trade Fair at Magsaysay Park, Divisoria. The fair consists of a display of crafts, handmade products and artworks and includes both a poetry night andfilm night.

 

Present at the event is Provincial Director Jesusa Abear of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental, Regional Director Bruce Colao of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG-10) and the representatives of various national government agencies and local artists.

 

The said activity is line with the Kagay-an Creative Industries Month celebrated every September which is aimed at promoting the works of the city’s local artists. (NLB/CIO/photos by Iren Fuentes/CIO)
