CAGAYAN de Oro City Hall’s City Public Employment Service Office (PESO‑CDO) was cited as a national finalist under the Highly Urbanized category for the 2024 National Search for Best PESO Award.

 

PESO-CDO earned that distinction at the 25th National PESO Congress held last Oct. 15‑16 in Tagaytay City. PESO‑CDO department manager Kathleen Kate D. Sorilla and her team accepted the honor which landed Cagayan de Oro City among the 73 national finalists out of more than 1,000 PESO and job placement offices nationwide.

 

‘This recognition reflects not only the caliber of PESO‑CDO’s services but also the unwavering support of City Hall under Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy’s administration,’ Sorilla said.

 

She said PESO-CDO was cited for implementing strategic initiatives such as career coaching, job fairs, skills matching, livelihood training and special employment programs for youth, women, and vulnerable sectors.

 

Sorilla was also elected as the National Public Relations Officer of the Public Employment Service Office Management of the Philippines, Inc., for the term 2026‑2028.
