The City Information Office (CIO), headed by Acting City Information Officer Jade Adeser, held a Spooky Fest in celebration of the upcoming Halloween on Wednesday, October 29.
The Spooky Fest featured contests for the best decoration, real-life horror story, and spooky costume.
Named Best in Costume under the male category was Alixes Gemao of the Admin Division, while Maridel Salapang of the Newsroom Division won under the female category.
For the Best in Decoration, the Technical Team emerged as champion, followed by the Newsroom in second place and the Admin Division in third.
Meanwhile, Jonie Tabian of the Newsroom Division was hailed Best Storyteller for the real-life horror story category.
Among those who served as judges at the three contests were Chief of Staff Sheila Lumbatan, City Administrator Atty. Roy Hilario Raagas, Office of the City Human Resource Management Officer Department Manager Xsyclyn Faith “Kansai” Lumbatan, Office of the City Tourism Officer Department Manager Mark Kenneth Jalapadan and Office of the Community Affairs Department Manager Cyril Ranile.
Adeser said the celebration is aimed at fostering fun and camaraderie among employees amid busy workdays and is part of the office’s wellness program.
