AMID steady rainfall and public concern over the looming arrival of Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmaegi) in the country, Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy personally monitored and ordered the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Department (CDRRMD) to oversee contingency measures to handle emergencies arising from possible flooding in the city.
Also present were members of the Incident Management Team (IMT), including CDRRMD Chief Nick Jabagat, City Director Ellaine Depaur of the Department of Interior and Local Governments (DILG), Chief of Staff Sheila Lumbatan, Secretary to the Mayor Kansai Lumbatan and Acting City Information Officer Jade Adeser.
Mayor Klarex also activated the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (BDRRMCs) for standby alert while Typhoon Tino remains within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
