CITY LIBRARY CONCLUDES BOOK WEEK, LIBRARY SERVICES MONTH OBSERVANCE

Written by LRM
GRADE schoolers of City Central School joined the culminating program of the National Book Week and Library Information Services Month hosted by the City Public Library on Friday (Nov. 28).

The program capped off a series of literacy-driven events sponsored by the City Public Library to commemorate the National Book Week Activity held from Nov. 17 to 28 and the much larger Library Information Services Month.

The annual observance featured a lineup of interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and strengthen reading culture among young learners and the wider community.

These included Trivia contests, Spelling and Math Challenges, a Library Scavenger Hunt, Word Search games, and the ‘Battle of the Winners’ competition, respectively.

City Library officials underscores the vital role of public libraries in promoting literacy and lifelong learning by engaging children in interactive, competitive, and educational activities. (LRM/CIO snaps from City Public Library/ as edited by Tyrone Balhon/CIO)
