PESO CDO HONORS PARTNERS IN 6TH 'PARANGAL AT PASASALAMAT'

ABOUT 138 awards were given by the City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in Cagayan de Oro, led by Kathleen Kate Sorilla to their partners and contributors during the sixth year of 'Parangal at Pasasalamat' on Tuesday (December 9) at the City Tourism Hall.
 
The event celebrated six years of dedicated service in advancing the city’s employment landscape in alignment with Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy’s RISE platform.
 
The awardees were from local recruitment activities, special recruitment activities, job fairs, the Career and Development Support Program, JobsStart, and various non-government organizations and national agencies.
 
The ceremony honored the invaluable contributions of PESO’s partners and stakeholders in strengthening employment facilitation in the city.
 
In her message, PESO Manager Sorilla emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in implementing the office’s programs.
 
City Administrator Atty. Roy Hilario Raagas thanked the partners for their full support of the employment and livelihood programs, saying, ‘These successes are not measured in PESO alone, but are shared victories, because together, we have offered direction, hope, and new beginnings to our people in Cagayan de Oro.'
 
Councilor Gilda 'Gigi' Go, Chair of the Committee on Labor, Employment, and Cooperatives, highlighted their shared vision and underscored the importance of expanding partnerships to generate more job opportunities for Cagayan de Oro’s job seekers.
 
The awarding featured six (6) categories: Job Fair (Most Number of Hired on the Spot), Job Fair Partner Schools, Overseas Job Fair/SRA, Career Development Support Program, Government Agencies (LGU and non-government), and JobStart Philippines. (MDS/CIO/Photos by: Iren Fuentes/CIO)
