MAYOR KLAREX SWEARS IN CITY FISHERIES COUNCIL

The recently inducted members of the City Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (CFARMC) were sworn in by Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy at City Hall last January 13.
 
Witnessing the ceremony were City Councilor Juancho R. Pascual, who chairs the City Council’s Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries; City Agriculturist Engr. Bernie A. Daba, Dr. Noel M. Saldajeno of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and Pablo T. Rojas Jr., CAPOO’s Chief of the Aquatic Resources Management Division.
 
The CFARMC will advise Cagayan de Oro City Hall in implementing policies and programs that primarily uphold the management and conservation of marine resources in the city.
 
The joint collaboration between the fisherfolk leaders, government partners at both national and local level will serve to protect the fisheries and aquatic life, Mayor Klarex added.
