MAYOR KLAREX HAILS START OF BUILDING MANRESA ACCESS ROAD

Written by MDS
CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy led City Hall officials in welcoming the start of construction of the Manresa Access Road in Friday’s (Jan. 23) concrete pouring ceremony held at Manresa Town.

The Manresa Access Road project is a joint initiative of Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, headed by Fr. Mars Tan, SJ, and Cebu Landmasters Inc., chaired by Jose Soberano III, in partnership with City Hall under Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy’s administration.

The Soberano Family of Cebu Landmasters is spending P120 million to build the Manresa Access Road in Cagayan de Oro City, a two-kilometer project linking the city's uptown district to the city center.

The 10-meter-wide road will directly link Masterson Avenue to Balulang Road, improving access to the city center via the Macasandig Bridge and easing congestion along key routes. It is targeted to open in the last quarter of 2027.

But Cebu Landmasters Inc. hopes to finish and open the road in the first quarter of 2027 as per wish of Mayor Klarex, who said City Hall has its plan to enhance this access road soon.

Manresa Town is being built to shape the future of Uptown CDO. By creating a sustainable, connected, and vibrant community for students, educators, and residents, it supports Cagayan de Oro City's growth and enhances the quality of life for everyone who lives and works here.
