“I will leave to the sound discretion of school authorities on whether or not to hold graduation ceremonies”, Mayor Oscar Moreno told mediamen during press conference on Thursday, March 12 at Pearlmont Hotel where authorities officially declared one confirmed case of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) in Cagayan de Oro City.

If school authorities push through, Mayor Moreno said the city government is volunteering to deploy response teams composed of personnel from the City Health Office, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department, Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars who will handle preventive measures such as non-contact temperature scanning, hand sanitizing and others.
