Apan, gipadayag usab sa CHO nga ang PUM nga walay insaktong lugar sa ilang panimalay pwede mahatagan og mga ‘isolation units’ nga ilang mapuy-an.

Samtang, gipasabot usab ni Paglinawan nga ang mga Persons Under Investigation (PUI) adunay duha ka classifications gikan sa Department of Health mao kadtong mga tao nga adunay mga mild symptoms lamang kalabot sa COVID19 ug wala’y pre-existing condition, pwede pa sila ipailawom sa home quarantine o ibutang sa ‘isolation unit.’

Dugang niini ang mga elderly ug nagkadaiyang mga PUI nga adunay pre-existing condition ang maoy hatagan og prayoridad ug gikinahanglan atimanon sa hospital.

TRESE ka Persons under Investigations (PUIs) ang nagpabilin karon sa Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) samtang naghulat sa resulta sa confirmatory test gikan sa DOH- Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) gikan sa kaulohan.

Kini ang gikompirma ni Dr.Jose Chan, Medical Director sa NMMC atol sa daily press briefing nga gipahigayon sa City Hall, Marso 20 ning tuig.

Lakip sa mga pasyente ang naghambin sa severe acute respiratory illness nga sarang hinungdan nga mataptan sa COVID-19 virus.

Duha sa 13 ka pasyente ang wala pa makuhaan og 'throat swab sample' alang sa COVID-19 confirmatory testing tungod kay mag-depende kini sa eroplano nga magdala ngadto sa DOH-RITM.

Dugang ni Dr. Chan nga aduna nay 36 ka PUI ug SARI ang nakasulod sa NMCC gikan Pebrero ning tuiga.

Pipila niini ang naka recover ug nakapauli na human nag-negative ang result sa ilang confirmatory test sa COVID-19.

Kahinumduman nga gihupay usab ni Dr. Adriano Subaan, Regional Director sa Department of Health (DOH X) ang kabalaka sa publiko nga maapektuhan ang pagpadala sa 'specimen' alang sa testing gumikan sa pag lockdown sa Manila ug uban pang lugar tungod sa bahad sa pagkuyanap sa COVID 19.

"If there are problems, there are also solutions" pagsiguro ni Dr. Subaan.

Dugang usab ni Dr. Subaan nga bag-uhay lang na organisa ang Regional Inter-agency Taskforce for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease sa rehiyon diin siya ang nangulo.

Tumong sa nahisgutang Regional Taskforce nga komprehensibong mahisgutan ug ma plantsa ang mga concern sa katawhan samtang anaa ang bahad sa COVID 19.

MARCH 19, 2020 - Local health officials of Cagayan de Oro City confirmed two deaths due to possible COVID-19 infection.

Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) Medical Director Jose Chan stated on the 6th  Daily Press Conference on COVID-19 that the two patients, both females and residents outside the City, died from severe acute respiratory illness on March 18. They were initially patients under investigation (PUIs) and were among those waiting for the result whether or not they are positive for COVID-19

According to Chan, thy were not initially treated in NMMC; the first patient from a private hospital and the other one from outside the City.

“Kining duwa ka pasyente dili taga Kagayan ug kining duha gibalhin sa atung hospital sa Northern Mindanao Medical Center gikan sa lain hospital, (These two patients are not from Cagayan de Oro, they were just transferred here in Northern Mindanao Medical Center from other hospitals)” he said.

According to Chan, NMMC gave tight monitoring to the two SARI patients along with the other Patients Under Investigation (PUI). 

Should the two suspected patients tested positive for the virus, they would be the second and third recorded cases of fatality due to COVID-19 following first casualty in NMMC, a guy originally from Iligan City, on  March 13.

As of the press time,NMMC currently attends to 33 PUIs.12 patients have already tested negative for COVID-19 and have been discharged.

Following the casulaties from confimed and suspected COVID-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro, City Mayor Oscar Moreno issued the Executive Order No. 049-2020 placing the entire city under community quarantine on March 19, 2020. It aims to avoid the potential further  transmission of the corona virus in the city.

During the 6th Daily Press Conference on COVID-19, Moreno justified the issuance of EO  after 2 PUIs died while waiting for their test result on the virus at Northern Mindanao Medical Center. The two patients were not from City, urging him to reach in a decision to place the city under community quarantine

“The fact na dini nag expire, siyempre all that the more an so on. In that circumstance, I have concluded na kanahanglan nagyud ang community quarantine.” he said.

The EO will take effect starting at the midnight of March 19 and will last until further notice. It is expected that the movement of Kagay-anons will be limited in which to accessing basic necessities and work are. 

It was also stated in EO the Cagayan de Oro will constantly co-ordinate with the province of Misamis Oriental and certain municipalities of the province of Bukidnon to ensure efficient implemented of the EO to a wider scale.

“Among gipanawagan ang tanan natong punong barangays, constant man among coordination, pero sugod karong adlawa, mao ra pud ni atong tutokan nga pinaka-major nga activity sa tibuok siyudad sa Cagayan de Oro, ang house- to-house surveillance and census,” saysay ni Dr. Nery.

Gi-edukar ni Dr. Jan Sherwin Samong sa CHO-Health Emergency Management System ang mga operators/drayber kalabot sa importansya sa 'disinfecton' sa mga sakyanan isip precautionary measure sa pagkatag sa maong sakit aron luwas ang sumasakay, ingon man ang mga drayber.

Nunot niini, magpahigayon og laing tigom ang nasangpit nga grupo aron matudloan sa Sanitary Inspection team sa CHO kalabot sa proseso o paghimo sa alternatibong 'disinfection chemical'.

Miapila usab si Dr. Samong nga suportahan ang mga medical/health workers nga frontliners sa pakigbatok sa COVID-19 pinaagi sa dili pagbalibad kung buot niining mosakay, ilabina kadtong mga nakasul-ob og uniform sa ospital.

Ang nasangpit nga duha ka SARI patients pulos mga babaye.

Ang usa gi-refer ngadto sa NMMC gikan sa usa ka pribadong ospital sa Cagayan de Oro, samtang ang usa gikan sa gawas sa syudad.

Kagahapon, ang City Disinfection Teams mihimo’g disinfection diha sa moske sa Aguinaldo Street, Eco Church sa Kauswagan, Sanctuario Eucaristico sa RER subdivision, Mt. Carmel Church sa Carmen, Immaculate Church ug Iglesia Filipina Independiente sa Bulua, ug rehiyonal nga buhatan sa Department of Social Welfare and Dev’t Office.

Samtang nagpahimangno si Sabuga-a sa publiko nga magbantay sa mga indibidwal nga nagpatuong mga miyembro sa City Disinfection Team kinsa mag-disinfect kunohay sa mga kabalayan, apan mangawat diay ang tuyo.

Archbishop Antonio Ledesma of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro issued an advisory on March 17, 2020 suspending all public Masses and all other public activities in Catholic churches.

"This would be an oppotune time for family members to engage in regular prayers and devotions inside their homes."

"Some churches may have the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament during the day for individual parishioners to come and pray."
