About Us:

The Cagayan de Oro Technical Vocational Institute (CDOTVI) shall undertake center-based and community-based skills and livelihood trainings through technical-vocational and skills development programs for students coming from low-income families, out-of-school youth, and members of the marginalized sectors. CDOTVI will play a crucial role in helping its trainees become productive, self-reliant, and transformed into middle-level skilled labor force and meet the demands of both the local and global labor markets, resulting in the enhancement of the social and economic development in the locality and the neighboring areas, as well as for their personal growth and families’ sustenance. Vision: A premier LGU-led skills development and training hub, primed to grow into a higher education institution, that produces needs-responsive, globally competitive and technology-driven graduates who can work towards a sustainable environment and an improved quality of life.

Services:

  • CDOTVI shall offer school-based, Mobile Training Program (MTP), enterprise-based, community-based, entrepreneurial, technical, vocational education skills development curricula adopting the Unified TVET Programs Registration and Accreditation Systems (UTPRAS) of TESDA and the Senior High School Curriculum of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the standards of the Commission for Higher Education (CHED) for its ladderized degree courses. In addition, CDOTVI shall serve as Assessment Center and Training Methodology (TMI) Center for acquired competencies in technical-vocational skills to qualify and certify middle-level manpower for employment.
