The City Health Insurance Office (CHIO):

• Facilitates enrollment of qualified indigents through the City’s adoption of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation’s Sponsored Program.
• Implements the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) through the provision of financial risk protection to the poorest of the poor sector of the City

Vision

The under-privilege residents of Cagayan de Oro is provided with financial risk protection in their health care needs via membership in PhilHealth’s Sponsored Program “KADA KAGAY-ANON, MIYEMBRO; KADA HEALTH CENTER, KUMPLETO; KAHIMSUG SA KATAWHAN, SIGURADO SA PHILHEALTH UG CAGAYAN DE ORO.”

Mission

To provide financial risk protection to residents of Cagayan de Oro thru PhilHealth membership and bring the quality health care services closer to the people by delivering PhilHealth Care Benefits package at the City Health office/Barangay Health Centers of the city.

EXTERNAL SERVICES:              

• Assists in the enrollment of qualified individuals/families as Indirect Contributors under Universal Health Care Program
• Dispense of drugs and medicines for diseases under the Primary Care Benefit Package using PhilHealth's Per Family Payment Rate
