The celebration kicked off with a motorcade followed by a short program at the Kiosko Kagawasan in Divisoria.

 

During the short program, City Health Office Department Head Dr. Rachel D. Dilla, who represented Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy, delivered her welcome message highlighting a 'call to action' on LGU-CDO's partners, the Barangay Nutrition Committees, Regional Nutrition Committees, City Nutrition Committee members to collaborate in an effort to address malnutrition.

 

"Kita partners, we should own this problem. Atong akoon ang problema sa nutrisyon ilabina nga ang nutrisyon sa atong kauban sa balay ug ang nutrisyon sa komunidad. Through this, if we would just own the problem, and if we would also collaborate with others who are also owning the problem, co-ownership, mas dako ang atong maabtan, daghan atong masultian, daghan ma-influence nga magbalik sa maayo nga nutrisyon, mabalik gyud ta sa wala gyud mosupak sa utanon," she said.

 

This was followed by the unveiling of this year's theme led by the members of RNC and CNC, and the launching of the 'First 1000 Days' jingle competition.

 

The event was graced by Nutrition Program Coordinator-NNC X Gladys Mae S. Fernandez; City Nutrition Action Officer Nenita F. Rabe, RND; Barangay Nutrition Committees; Regional Nutrition Committees and members of the City Nutrition Committee.
