Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ A. Uy has been conferred by the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental with ‘Most Outstanding Misamisnon Award’ during the 1st Asenso Misamis Occidental Honors and Awards Ceremony held today, November 30, at the Bayfront Arena, Oroquieta City.

 

The award was presented to Mayor Klarex Uy in recognition and appreciation of his public service marked with sincerity, dedication, and honor, being a former Punong Barangay of Carmen, First District Representative and now incumbent Local Chief Executive of Cagayan de Oro City.

 

Mayor Klarex is among the few Misamisnons being recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions in the different fields of expertise such as engineering, medicine, and others, with Mayor Klarex named as ‘Most Outstanding Misamisnon Awardee’ on public service.

 

It can be recalled that although Mayor Klarex rendered public service for more than 20 years in the city, he has always been proud of his roots, and never failed to mention in speaking engagements that he spent his younger years in his hometown in Misamis Occidental.
