Written by
In a bid to enhance governance and insights on best practices and partnerships, a delegation from Zamboanga City yesterday paid a courtesy visit to Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy.

The visit is part of their benchmarking activities aimed at studying Cagayan de Oro City’s best practices on local governance, particularly on people's council ordinance and market-related local ordinances.
During their 2-day stay, the officials took a city tour, exploring the city’s historical sites such as the city museums, McArthur Marker and the iconic Rio de Oro Boulevard.

Mayor Uy expressed his warm welcome and appreciation to the group, composed of Zamboanga City Councilors Jerome Santos, Al-Jihan Edding, Marxander Jaime, El King Omaga, Jimmy Villaflores and Vincent Paul Elago for visiting the city.

The Zamboanga City officials were graciously hosted by members of the 20th City Council, spearheaded by Vice Mayor Jocelyn Rodriguez, including City Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya, who authored the aforementioned ordinances, and exchanged ideas and insights that will foster mutual growth and development of both cities.
