OVER 1,000 participants joined in the recent fun run organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) dubbed as ‘Buhay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan’ (BIDA) in celebration of the program’s 1st anniversary last Saturday afternoon, March 23 at Rio de Oro Boulevard.

BIDA is an illegal drugs campaign of the national government, in partnership with the different government agencies, including the local governments, law enforcement units, civil society groups and academe.

The program aims to strengthen public awareness on the adverse effects of illegal drugs, and to increase cooperation among community and stakeholders on its prevention. It is not only a physical wellness activity, but also serves as a platform to underscore the importance of eradicating drugs from local communities.

City Administrator Atty. Roy Hilario Raagas, who represented City Mayor Klarex Uy, joined in the ceremonial signing of commitment, along with Police City Director Salvador Radam, and DILG 10 Regional Director Wilhelm Suyko.
